Hrithik's Rambo turn!

After remaking Tom Cruise starrer Knight And Day in Hindi as Bang Bang, buzz is that Siddharth Anand is working on yet another remake. News sources suggest that the director is working towards remaking Sylvester Stallone starrer Rambo in Hindi.

While Bang Bang starred Hrithik Roshan in the lead, there are chances that this film might have Hrithik filling in the boots of Hollywood star Sylvester, who has been a part of the Rambo series. Talking about the same, Anand has been quoted by a publication saying, “Hrithik is always on top of my mind but I haven't finalised anyone as yet. It can be a new actor as well.”

Shedding more light on the project, Anand has been further quoted saying, “We had the official rights since two years. We are taking the concept of Rambo ahead and recreating it for the Indian audience. We don't have a true blue action hero in India. We've grown up on Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger but today's generation has no one to look up to. The intention is to give them their own Rambo.”

It’s said that with Stallone announcing his retirement from the Rambo universe, the makers are taking this as a perfect time to reboot the franchise in India. Also, apparently, the Hindi version of Rambo is meant to be a trilogy!
