Salman Khan tweeted: ‘Bigg Boss 9’ is mine

It's that time of the year when controversial reality show Bigg Boss takes over the prime time slot on Indian television.

Speculations and conjectures have already begun in media circuits about the contestants, host and theme of the show.

Arshad Warsi to Amitabh Bachchan to Shilpa Shetty, the first three seasons saw different host.

But from season four Salman Khan has been the only constant feature in the show.

Salman will return as the host of the series for the sixth time. The 49-year-old actor shared a picture of himself from the promo shoot on Twitter:
"Bigg boss season 9 is mine. #biggboss9 promo shoot."

The actor was shooting a promotional clip for the reality show at a Mumbai studio on Friday (Sept 4).

With over two weeks of delay in the campaign, the time slot might change from 9pm to 10pm due to the objectionable content being aired on prime time.

The show will go on air in the first week of October after the finale of 'Jhalak Dikhhla jaa'.

A grand opening show is expected with performances by various contestants and Salman introducing each one of them to the audience.

The show will run for a little over 100 days and will have its finale around mid-January next year.

'Bigg Boss', an Indian version of international reality show Bigg Brother, sees a number of celebrity contestants living in a house under the surveillance of 24-hour multi-cameras.
