10: Lafangey Parindey (Pinky Palkar): 

Film did not do anything at the box office, but Deepika’s acting as a blind young girl attracted many appreciations.

The movie did well at the box office, but the credit went to Saif Ali Khan, but Deepika also showed how to express the feelings on screen.

She was still in the early days of her career and for the first time she was paired with Ranbir Kapoor. Although she got lesser accolades as Bipasha Basu was also part of it.


6:  Om Shanti Om (Shantipriya / Sandhya or Sandy): 

Deepika’s debut movie and that too with Shah Rukh Khan! One would only dream of it. She was nominated for Best Actress also at that year’s Filmfare awards and went away with the Best Debut-Actress.


5: Race 2 (Elena): 

Deepika’s career got a shoot up with this movie. Although in Abbas Mastan movies, actresses have lesser say, but still Deepika made her presence felt and it became her first movie which has collected Rs. 100 cores or more.


4:  Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (Naina Talwar): 

The movie didn’t do extremely well at the box office, but Deepika Padukone did a fantastic justice to the character of Naina Talwar. Her chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor stood out.


3:  Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram Leela (Leela Sanera): 

Fantastic acting and took Ranveer Singh head on! Deepika won Best Actress Award for Filmfare this year.


2:  Chennai Express (Meenalochini Azhagusundaram): 

She matched Shah Rukh Khan frame by frame. Her comic timing also stood out which earned her Best Actress Award in Filmfare as well


1:  Bajirao Mastani (Mastani): 

Probably her best performance till date. She essayed the character of Mastani to perfection in the epic Historic Drama with big names like Ranveer Singh & Priyanka in the film, Deepika stood out brilliantly!
