After King Faisal Street, another road closure in Sharjah
Sharjah may face another round of traffic diversions as one more road will be closed for maintenance purposes on Thursday night for four days.
Commuters between the two emirates – Dubai and Sharjah – should expect delays on their trip on Sunday and Monday, especially during the peak hours.
The Sharjah Roads and Traffic Authority (SRTA) said a part of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road will be closed for traffic in the direction of Al Wahda Street, starting on Thursday evening 10pm and re-opening on Monday.
The road closure includes the road reaching to and departing from the intersection with First Industrial Street. An alternative road will be opened on the service lane of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road, on the same side as the road closure.
The SRTA has urged the public to exercise caution, adhere to traffic rules and follow the signboards to use alternative roads in order to avoid traffic congestion.
