Things you need to know #NaMoinDubai



Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting UAE and he is expected to address the crowd on August 17th around 8PM at Dubai Cricket Stadium.

Over 50,000 people have registered to attend the event. More than 200 buses will be used to ferry people between the Metro station and the stadium inside Dubai Sports City, from 3pm onwards.

If you are attending the function keep this in mind.

  1. Dubai Internet City Metro station is the only station for the shuttle services to the stadium
  2. The gates to the event will open at 4pm and close at 7pm. Prime Minister Modi will begin speaking at 8pm.
  3. Seating inside the 25,000-capacity cricket stadium will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, Shetty said. Those who have registered are advised to bring the same ID with which they registered at the NamoInDubai.ae website.
  4. Traditional hand fans will be provided for the convenience of all.
  5. Cameras and video equipment are prohibited at the event, mobiles would be permitted.
  6. Organizing Committee advised people to avoid bringing bags to the event.
  7. Foodstuffs are not allowed, but food will be available near the stadium.
  8. Due to the hot climate it is requested to avoid taking kids under the age of 5 along with you. 

EVENT SCHEDULE 

Doors open at 3pm. Please remember that entry is on first cum-first serve basis. Only 30,000 people will be allowed inside the stadium. For those unable to enter the stadium, spill-over area have been created. These areas are equipped with LCD screens.

The cultural programs will begin at 6.30pm, followed by the Prime Minister’s speech at 8pm.

To ensure connectivity with the Prime Minister’s address, LCD and augmented reality screens will be set up inside and outside the venue.

Transport & Parking facilities
Feeder buses will run every 10 minutes from the Dubai Internet City metro station. Please look out for the volunteers with Namo Dubai badge on them. Commuters will be dropped off at the spill-over parking area near the stadium From here, buses will take them to the entrance (North Gate) of the stadium. Please bring the printout of your registration and the identity card you have used when registering online. People without valid documents will not be allowed inside the venue.

Parking
While visitors are encouraged to use the public transport to arrive at the venue, ample parking spaces have been made to accommodate those arriving in their own vehicles. Signage’s have been installed all around the parking area to ensure you reach the venue on time. People are however encouraged to car-pool to avoid congestion and ease parking issues.

Dos & Don’ts
Visitors are NOT allowed to bring food or water inside the venue. Visitors may NOT bring camera or handbags. Children under 5 will not be allowed inside the venue

Refreshments
Free water and juices will be provided to people during the check in. Food stalls are available inside the venue and in need, you may purchase food here. Forty thousand hand-fans will be handed out to the visitors to help ease the heat Water booths have been installed around the venue.

Medical facilities
Five ambulances and fifty medical staff including 50 doctors will be deployed at the venue in case of emergency.
