Private sector holiday for UAE National Day announced

The private sector will get paid holiday on December 1 and December 2 to mark the 45th UAE National Day and Commemoration Day, Emirates News Agency WAM has reported.

The National Day falls on December 2, commemorating the founding of the United Arab Emirates in 1971.

The Commemoration Day, originally referred to as Martyrs Day, was first observed last year on November 30.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources announced on Thursday that the public sector holiday will be from December 1-3.
