Defending champions announce their 15 men squad for the World cup 2015

India announced a 15-member squad for the World Cup under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Man of the series for 2011 World Cup, Yuvraj Singh was ignored despite a hat-trick of hundreds in the Ranji Trophy.

Akshar Patel along with Stuart Binny, were named in the list of 15 players. India chose to stick with the experienced Ishant despite suffering an injury which ruled him out of the SCG Test

Jadeja's fitness,was a question as he is currently nursing a shoulder injury. Though Physio Nitin Patel submitted a progress report to the selectors and was quite hopeful that he will be match-fit within next 10 days. The uncertainty over his availability for the tournament raised hopes for an out-of-favour Yuvraj.
