2015 the year of Indian Cricketers marriages

The wickets are falling fast and the Indian cricket team is losing some of its poster boys.

2015 proved to be the year of retiring from bachelorhood for many Indian cricketers as they decided to get married.

After spinner Harbhajan Singh tied nuptial knots with actress Geeta Basra, hitman Rohit Sharma finally got hitched with his longtime girlfriend Ritika Sajdeh.

Rohit, who got engaged to his childhood sweetheart, earlier this June finally got married yesterday at the poolside of a suburban Mumbai five star, followed by a reception and musical evening.

The wedding guests included who’s who of Indian cricket, including Yuvraj Singh, his fiancé Hazel Keech and mother Shabnam Singh, Suresh Raina, Umesh Yadav and his wife Tanya.

Sachin Tendulkar was seen arriving at the party along with his wife Anjali.

He is the fourth cricketer to enter matrimony this year after Dinesh Karthik, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh.

Team India's middle order batsman Suresh Raina, married his lady love, Priyanka Chaudhary, on April 3, 2015. Raina and Priyanka have been childhood friends, and a private wedding in Delhi, tied these buddies together in the sacred knot.


Dinesh Karthik and Dipika Pallikal

Cricketer Dinesh Karthik and squash ace Dipika Pallikal tied the knot at Chennai this year.

The marriage took place in a Christian ceremony on August 19 which will be followed by Telugu wedding ceremony on August 20.


Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra

Spinner Harbhajan SIngh and long-time girlfriend, actress Geeta Basra tied the knot in October in a gurdwara in Jalandhar.

It was a big fat Indian wedding for Harbhajan that saw mehendi, sangeet, performances and every ritual organised lavishly.

The wedding reception was attended by the Indian Prime Minister, other politicians, actors and sportsman.


Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech

Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech got engaged in a private ceremony in Bali.

Yuvraj confirmed the news and tweeted a picture of the couple. He said that he has found a 'friend for life' in Hazel, adding that his mother Shabnam saw her reflection in her would-be daughter-in-law.

Yuvraj and Hazel have been dating each other for more than three months. Yuvraj and Hazel caught everyone's attention when they walked in together at Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra's wedding reception in Delhi on November 1.

Apart from them Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Robin Uthappa also got engaged this year.
