This position reports to Station Head of 89.1 Radio 4 FM

A dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills in web content management, writing and editing for the web, graphic design and site management. The website content manager will be responsible for developing the voice for all aspects of the organization’s online presence. In addition to writing, editing, and proofreading site content, this person will also work closely with the technical team to maintain site standards with regard to new development.

The website content manager will also be responsible for crafting site promotions, email newsletters, and online outreach campaigns. The content manager will work closely with technical, business development, and marketing members of our organization, so strong communication skills are needed. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing online marketing and outreach campaigns. Tasks require a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Job Description & Knowledge required...

Task Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Create, develop and manage content for organization’s web presence (requires working with content management software).
  • Complete involvement with the Station’s presence on Social Media platforms. SEO and keyword optimization.
  • Coordinate web projects across departments and maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties.
  • Working with a cross-departmental team, maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web properties.
  • Attend station affiliated events for coverage and updates. Including meetings and coordination to ensure smooth execution of partnerships.
  • Copyedit and proofread all web content. Keep current with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs, listservs, and events.
  • Video Editing for web usage including conceptualizing and executing video concepts involving RJs and local current themes.
  • Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference.
  • Track and report on all site metrics and work cooperatively with key team members and clients.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

Educated to degree level, or equivalent, or substantial experience in marketing, digital or communications role.

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • At least 3- 5 years’ experience in Performance Marketing.
  • Demonstrable paid search, display and paid social experience.
  • Good working knowledge of marketing advertising technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commercially focused and driven with the ability to work towards metrics and manage online advertising budgets.
  • Experience in delivering integrated digital campaigns.
  • Experience working with social and digital platforms.
  • Good understanding of Google analytics and social media reporting software.
  • Understanding of the sales and marketing environments and commercial activity.

  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media. (Give links to profiles as examples).
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application.
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
  • Enjoys a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem relevant to the company’s field.
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
  • Exceeds at building and maintaining sales relationships, online and off.
  • Practices superior time management.
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary? (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
