Abu Dhabi has introduced a new Code of Professional Ethics for teachers to ensure ethical conduct in schools, protecting students, staff, and the wider community. The code prohibits discrimination, harassment, indoctrination, spreading rumors, falsifying qualifications, and inappropriate attire. Schools are embedding these principles through recruitment, onboarding, training, mentorship, and continuous professional development. Staff are expected to demonstrate integrity, respect, and ethical behavior in classrooms and beyond. Breaches are monitored, investigated, and addressed through SOPs, corrective measures, or ADEK escalation, ensuring accountability and a safe, professional educational environment.
