Abu Dhabi Police have recovered Dh140 million from online fraud and returned it to victims over the past two years, handling 15,642 cybercrime cases. During a press conference, officials, including Brigadier Rashid Khalaf Al Dhaheri, launched the latest "Be Careful" campaign to raise awareness of evolving cyber threats. The initiative, aligned with the National Cybersecurity Strategy, educates the public on nine types of online fraud, such as phone scams, fake links, social media threats, investment fraud, and deceptive ads. Authorities stress that proactive community engagement, prevention, and digital awareness are key to protecting residents against increasingly sophisticated cybercrime.
