Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 11 runs in the third and final one-day international (ODI) on March 15, 2026, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, winning the series 2-1.

Tanzid Hasan starred for Bangladesh, scoring his maiden ODI century — a 107-run knock from 98 balls with six fours and seven sixes — earning him both Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards. Opening with Saif Hassan, the duo put on 105 runs before Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi broke the partnership in the 19th over. Litton Das added 41 runs, while Towhid Hridoy’s unbeaten 48 provided late momentum to help Bangladesh post 290 for five.

In reply, Pakistan struggled early, losing five wickets for 82 runs. Salman Agha fought back with a valiant 106 off 98 balls, but Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman turned the game with crucial wickets. Taskin finished with four for 49, and Mustafizur took three for 54, while Haris Rauf’s three wickets kept Pakistan in contention.

Despite Agha’s effort, Pakistan fell short at 279, handing Bangladesh a hard-fought series win. The match highlighted Bangladesh’s growing depth in batting and bowling, and Tanzid Hasan’s breakthrough century marked a defining moment in his career.
