Authorities in Dubai confirmed that the loud sounds heard across different parts of the city were the result of air defence interception operations. In a statement shared by the Government of Dubai Media Office, officials said relevant teams are closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary steps to ensure public safety.
Residents have been urged to rely only on official sources for accurate updates and avoid spreading unverified information, particularly on social media platforms. Authorities stressed that emergency response systems remain fully operational and that there is no cause for panic.
Earlier, the UAE Ministry of Defence announced that air defence systems intercepted 11 ballistic missiles and 123 drones in a single day, demonstrating the effectiveness of the country’s advanced, multi layered defence network. Since the start of the escalation, 186 ballistic missiles have been detected targeting the United Arab Emirates, with the majority successfully neutralised before reaching populated areas.
Officials reiterated that national security agencies continue to coordinate closely to safeguard airspace and critical infrastructure. They also confirmed that precautionary measures are being implemented in line with established security protocols, while daily life across the country continues as normal.
