The RTA has updated taxi fares across all services, including ride-hailing apps and street cabs. The minimum fare for app-booked rides rises from AED 12 to AED 13. Peak hour fares (8am–9:59am, 4pm–7:59pm) now include a AED 7.50 booking fee with a AED 5 starting fare. Off-peak rides have a AED 4 booking fee, while night trips (10pm–5:59am) charge AED 4.50 plus AED 5.50 to start. The increase is modest but affects all passengers. Commuters should plan ahead to accommodate slightly higher costs during busy and late-night periods.
