Dubai Police have launched a cutting-edge Biometric Tunnel that identifies people through their unique walking styles, creating a “motion fingerprint.” Developed by Dubiometrics, the AI and machine learning-powered system analyses body movements, joint motion, rhythm, and traits like flat feet within five seconds. Project Director Lt Col Dr Hamad Mansour Al Awr said the technology enhances investigations by integrating gait data with facial, ear, and body biometrics, providing stronger forensic evidence. The innovation aims to improve identification accuracy, especially when conventional methods like fingerprints or facial recognition are unavailable, boosting Dubai’s advanced policing capabilities.
