Dubai International Airport has issued a public alert regarding fake videos circulating on social media that falsely claim to show incidents at the airport. In an official statement, the airport clarified that the clips are fabricated and digitally altered and do not reflect the current situation at DXB.

Airport authorities stressed that operations continue as normal and that the safety and security of passengers and staff remain the top priority. They urged residents and travellers to rely exclusively on verified updates from official airport channels and government sources. Sharing or forwarding unverified content, particularly during sensitive situations, can create unnecessary panic and confusion.

Officials also reminded the public that under United Arab Emirates law, spreading false information online is a criminal offence. The UAE Cybercrime Law imposes strict penalties for publishing rumours or misleading content that may harm public order or national security. Violators may face imprisonment and fines ranging from Dh100,000 to Dh200,000, with harsher penalties applicable during emergencies or crises.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to maintaining transparency and ensuring accurate communication, while warning that legal action may be taken against individuals who deliberately circulate fabricated material.
