Indian cricket star Virat Kohli just hit a huge career milestone by becoming the second‑highest run‑scorer in international cricket history, passing Sri Lanka’s great Kumar Sangakkara on the all‑time list. He achieved this during the first ODI against New Zealand by scoring enough runs to go past Sangakkara’s career total. Kohli now trails only Sachin Tendulkar, the legendary Indian batter who leads the list. On the same day, he also became the fastest player ever to reach 28,000 international runs, doing it in 624 innings, beating Tendulkar’s record by 20 innings.
