Dubai is preparing to introduce robotaxis on its roads as part of its future mobility plans. Self driving taxis are expected to begin operating along Sheikh Zayed Road by next year. Trial runs are already under way, with the vehicles reaching speeds of up to 72 kilometres per hour. These taxis are designed to operate without a human driver and focus on passenger comfort and safety. Some of the robotaxis will be fitted with massage seats to enhance the travel experience. The rollout marks another step towards smart transport and aims to offer residents a convenient and comfortable way to move around the city.
