The UAE has successfully assisted around 500 Golden Visa holders and residents stranded abroad due to regional tensions and aviation restrictions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) announced on March 15, 2026.
In coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), the group returned safely via air and land entry points after earlier delays caused by airspace closures and disrupted international flights.
Officials emphasized that the operation was part of broader efforts to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents and citizens during ongoing regional developments. Authorities monitored the situation closely from the beginning, implementing precautionary measures and contingency plans to respond to travel disruptions effectively.
The coordinated effort involved close collaboration between UAE government entities, diplomatic missions abroad, and relevant international authorities. MoFA and NCEMA highlighted that the operation reflects the country’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of residents and citizens, ensuring their safety and security remains a top priority.
The successful return of the group demonstrates the UAE’s ability to act swiftly and decisively in response to regional challenges, reinforcing its reputation for organized, efficient, and people-focused governance.
The Ministry reassured the public that the UAE continues to monitor global developments closely and is prepared to take proactive measures to protect its citizens and residents whenever necessary.
