The UAE’s ICP has introduced four new visa categories covering AI specialists, cruise-ship workers, entertainment visitors, and humanitarian cases, alongside updates to existing visa types. AI experts can apply through sponsoring tech entities, while cruise workers qualify via licensed tourism establishments, and new event visas now cover conferences, exhibitions, sports, and cultural occasions. Humanitarian visas, including for widows or divorcees, last one year with possible exemptions, while other categories such as truck driver and “visit a friend/relative” visas have also been revised with income requirements.
