Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS) has become the UAE’s first certified U-Space Service Provider (USSP), a key step in regulating drone operations. Granted by the General Civil Aviation Authority under new national UAS regulations, the certification allows DANS to manage drone traffic through a platform integrating radar, weather data, and aeronautical updates. Developed with Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects and ANRA Technologies, it enables instant flight approvals and advanced conflict detection. The initiative supports future urban air mobility, positioning the UAE as a global leader in smart airspace management. It also opens opportunities for more providers, boosting innovation and safety.
