India’s Under-19 cricket team delivered a commanding performance to eliminate Pakistan from the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 with a 58-run victory in the Super Six stage in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The win secured India’s place in the semifinals while ending Pakistan’s campaign.
After being asked to bat first, India recovered from an early collapse to post 252 in 49.5 overs. The innings was anchored by Vedant Trivedi, who scored a composed 68, while crucial lower-order runs pushed the total to a competitive score.
Pakistan’s chase faltered early as their top order struggled to build momentum. Despite brief resistance from Usman Khan and Hamza Zahoor, the team never managed to control the required run rate. India’s bowlers kept tight pressure throughout the innings. Ayush Mhatre and Khilan Patel were the standout performers, each taking three wickets to dismantle Pakistan’s batting lineup. Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 194 in 46.2 overs.
With this result, India remain unbeaten in the tournament and advance to face Afghanistan in the semifinals. Pakistan, meanwhile, exit earlier than expected after failing to withstand India’s disciplined batting recovery and clinical bowling display.
