Actor Imran Khan revealed that he lost some big film projects early in his career, including Delhi 6 and Chennai Express. In an interview, he said he had auditioned for Delhi 6 before his debut in 2008, but the makers did not want to take a risk with a new actor. The role later went to Abhishek Bachchan. Imran said he felt deeply connected to the story and was quite sad when he did not get the part.

He also spoke about Chennai Express, for which Rohit Shetty had approached him after Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Naa. After discussions, both felt they were not creatively suited for the film, and the role went to Shah Rukh Khan. Imran said Shah Rukh was the perfect choice. Despite missing these films, he feels grateful for his journey and the unique projects he did.
