Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will trial a school bus pooling initiative in the first quarter of 2026 to reduce traffic congestion around school zones. Launched in partnership with Yango Group and Urban Express Transport, the pilot will use shared buses to transport students from multiple schools within defined areas. The initiative will rely on smart technology for trip management, vehicle tracking, and operational monitoring, while meeting all safety and regulatory standards. RTA aims to offer an affordable alternative to private car drop-offs, improve traffic flow during peak hours, and assess the potential for wider rollout across Dubai in the future.
