Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan is currently under treatment at Lilavati Hospital after suffering a minor brain haemorrhage. Doctors confirmed that the 90-year-old is stable and being closely monitored in the ICU. Dr Jalil Parkar clarified that no surgery was required, describing the haemorrhage as “very minimal” and treated through a routine medical procedure.
The news prompted an outpouring of concern from family and well-wishers. Salman Khan has been visiting his father frequently, accompanied by close friends including Sangeeta Bijlani. Family members such as Salma Khan, Helen, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Alvira, Arpita, and grandchildren were also seen at the hospital, reflecting the family’s strong bond.
Members of the film fraternity, including Javed Akhtar, Sanjay Dutt, Subhash Ghai, and Anil Sharma, visited or shared heartfelt prayers for his recovery. Ghai called Salim like a brother and praised his immense contribution to Indian cinema, while Sharma described his writing as the identity of Bollywood.
