Disney Cruise Line is launching a major new entertainment experience by having Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan narrate a fireworks show aboard its newest ship, Disney Adventure, during the vessel’s inaugural sailing from Singapore on March 10, 2026. The show, titled The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky, will blend pyrotechnics, lighting, music, and Khan’s voice to create a cinematic event at sea rather than a typical fireworks display.
Khan is an ideal choice because he voiced Mufasa in the Hindi versions of The Lion King (2019) and Mufasa (2024). His narration is expected to add emotional depth and charisma to the presentation. The soundtrack will feature popular songs from the franchise such as “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata,” “He Lives in You,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” It will also include an orchestral score recorded by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and performances by South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir.
Disney Cruise Line’s Southeast Asia regional head, Sarah Fox, said Khan’s involvement brings together Disney magic and Asian star power to make the experience unforgettable for guests.
