Bollywood actor and noted humanitarian Sonu Sood donated ₹22 lakh to the Varahi cow shelter in Gujarat, which cares for nearly 7,000 abandoned, injured and rescued cows, helping meet their daily food, medical and welfare needs. He chose this gaushala after visiting the facility and witnessing its journey from a few cattle to a large sanctuary, praising the dedication of the villagers and trustees who run it. Sood said their commitment and the love he received inspired him to support the shelter’s ongoing work and urged similar humane models across India. Known for his widespread charity from helping migrant workers during the pandemic to other social causes, this marks another example of his compassion beyond films.
