Abu Dhabi Police will soon activate new warning-radar devices, that use artificial intelligence systems, to catch motorists who commit violations by speeding through crossings, and not giving priority to pedestrians.

According to Abu Dhabi Police, the radar devices will be stationed at various pedestrian crossings, and school areas throughout the Emirate and violators will be fined 500 Dhs and given 6 black points.

Additionally, 3 more fines will be instated, in this regard, wherein motorists will be fined 500 DHS for stopping the vehicle on the pedestrian crossing itself

And a fine of 400 DHS for stopping the vehicle in a way, that threatens pedestrians or prevent their safe passage across the road, and 400 DHS for parking the vehicle on the pavement.
