The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that a brand new road that will link Dubai and Sharjah is all set to open next month.
This new road is expected to bring down traffic by 30 percent between the two emirates. The link will be 12 km long and will move traffic away from the busy roads like Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Ittihad Road, and Beirut Street.
The link will multiply the traffic capacity to around 12,000 vehicles per hour. It is set to open by the end of June and costs Dhs 500 million of which 90 percent is complete as of now.
