Dubai Police has issued a fresh warning to residents about a rise in fake travel and tourism scams ahead of the summer holiday season.

As part of its #BewareOfFraud campaign, the Anti-Fraud Centre said scammers are targeting residents with unrealistically cheap holiday packages, flight tickets, and hotel bookings through fake websites, social media pages, and messaging apps designed to imitate legitimate travel agencies.

Authorities warned that victims are often pressured into making quick payments for “limited-time offers,” only to later discover that no actual bookings exist. Residents have been advised to carefully verify websites, avoid deals that seem too good to be true, and never share OTPs, passwords, or banking details with unknown individuals or platforms.

Dubai Police also urged the public to report suspicious websites or fraud attempts through the e-Crime platform or by calling 901.
