The UAE Ministry of Interior has urged residents to take precautions as rain, thunderstorms, strong winds and blowing dust are forecast across parts of the country through Friday.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), convective clouds are expected to develop over eastern and southern regions, bringing rainfall of varying intensity, especially during the afternoon.
Residents have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather, stay away from valleys, flood-prone areas and rough seas, and rely only on official sources for weather updates.
Motorists are urged to drive carefully by reducing speed, maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles and exercising extra caution in areas affected by poor visibility due to dust and rain.
The Ministry has also advised residents to secure loose items on balconies, rooftops and outdoor areas to prevent them from being blown away by strong winds.
The NCM said wind speeds could range between 10 and 25 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 40 km/h near thunderstorm activity, while blowing dust may reduce visibility in open areas.
Despite the unstable weather, temperatures will remain high, reaching up to 48°C in Liwa, 47°C in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, 46°C in Sharjah, and 45°C in Dubai.
Authorities are urging everyone to follow official safety instructions to help protect lives and property as weather conditions continue to develop.
