Dubai Municipality has announced plans to open 35 new parks this year as part of its long term vision to make the city greener and more livable. The projects, with a total cost of AED 348 million, will add around 340000 square metres of green space across 23 residential areas.
These parks are being developed under the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, which focuses on improving quality of life by increasing access to public spaces. Officials said the locations are carefully selected so that residents can reach a park within a five minute walk from their homes.
The move is part of Dubai’s wider plan to promote a healthy lifestyle and support environmental sustainability. More green areas will also help create better community spaces for families and residents.
As the city continues to grow, such updates are being followed closely by residents, whether through daily conversations or while tuning into online radio in the UAE or catching updates through Dubai FM radio live streaming. Much like popular radio stations in Dubai that keep people informed and engaged, these developments highlight how the city is constantly evolving.
The new parks are expected to make everyday life more comfortable and community focused.
