The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security has launched a new initiative called “Basma 15” to make government services easier for students aged 15 and above. As part of this effort, ICP teams will visit schools to provide services like fingerprint enrolment directly on campus.

This move saves time and effort for students and parents, who would otherwise need to visit service centres. It also supports the UAE’s digital transformation goals by making services faster and more accessible. The initiative helps update the national population registry electronically, improving efficiency and overall customer experience.

Such youth-focused initiatives often become key talking points across platforms—from schools to conversations on a No.1 Hindi radio station that connects with 2.6 Mn daily listeners. It reflects how government services are evolving to meet people where they are.

By bringing essential services into schools, the UAE is making life simpler for families while encouraging early awareness among young residents. Much like how a leading Hindi Bollywood radio station keeps its audience engaged daily, this initiative ensures students stay connected to important services without disruption to their routine.
