The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has confirmed that there will be no public holiday in the UAE for Israa Wal Miraj this week.
Confirming the news via Twitter, the ministry extended its greetings on the occasion of Israa Wal Miraj, and reminded people that the full list of public holidays had been specified by the UAE cabinet last month.
In the list of holidays, which has been unified for the public and private sector for the first time, Israa Wal Miraj is no longer a paid holiday.
Previously, the UAE marked Isra Wal Miraj with a public holiday with a day off given to both government and private sectors.
We would like to extend our greetings on the occasion of Al Isra wal Miraj. In regards to the public holidays, they have been specified in the UAE Cabinet’s decree. The unified holidays aim to achieve harmony between the public & the private sectors.#MOHRE #UAE pic.twitter.com/RlMQYDbrZE
