Mirzapur: The Movie is all set to bring the world of Kaleen Bhaiya and Guddu Pandit to the big screen — and fans should prepare for a long ride!

Ahead of its theatrical release on September 4, 2026, the film has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has a final runtime of 3 hours, 17 minutes and 19 seconds.

According to reports, the certification process included modifications to some abusive language, while the impact of two intimate sequences was reduced, with around 35 seconds of intimate content reportedly removed. However, no cuts were reportedly sought for the film’s violent or gory portions.

The big-screen adaptation brings back some of the franchise’s most popular characters, with Pankaj Tripathi returning as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit and Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi.

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, Mirzapur: The Movie takes the hugely popular crime franchise from streaming to cinemas for the first time.

With its adult certification, massive runtime and the return of the original gang, Mirzapur fans can expect plenty of bhaukaal when the film hits cinemas on September 4.
