Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt could reunite for a third project, with reports suggesting that the filmmaker and actor are in talks to revive their long-stalled film Inshallah.
The film was originally announced in 2019 with Salman Khan as the male lead and Alia Bhatt. However, the project was shelved after creative differences, bringing the planned collaboration to an end.
Now, sources suggest Bhansali and Bhatt are discussing a reimagined version of the romantic drama. While the core story is expected to remain the same, the screenplay and other elements could undergo substantial changes and receive a fresh treatment.
There was earlier speculation that Shah Rukh Khan could take over the male lead. However, sources say Bhansali wants to finalise the script before making any casting decisions. Salman is currently occupied with his upcoming project, while Shah Rukh has not confirmed his next film after King.
A younger actor could also eventually be considered for the role. Bhansali and Bhatt previously worked together on Gangubai Kathiawadi and are set to collaborate again on Love & War.
