Banks in the UAE have urged all clients to renew their Emirates ID details before Friday, February 15.

The cut-off date will see ATM cards temporarily stop working as per the Central Bank's directives, while automatic payments and credit cards will also be halted during this time and finance companies in the UAE will be affected.

Clients can update their details through the bank's website, emailing the bank a photocopy of the ID, mobile banking, ATM machines, or Customer service centres.
