The UAE’s Federal Authority for Government Human Resources announced Friday, September 5, 2025 (12th of Rabi Al Awwal), as a public holiday for federal employees to mark Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, creating a three-day weekend. The date follows the lunar calendar, with Rabi Al Awwal starting August 25 in the UAE. The holiday is part of official cultural and religious observances under the Cabinet Resolution Concerning Public Holidays. Remaining 2025 holidays include UAE National Day on December 2–3 and Commemoration Day, usually observed on December 1, offering residents potential extended breaks.
