Abu Dhabi Police launched a new initiative at ADIHEX 2025 to help drivers reduce traffic black points on their licences. Drivers with 24 points can restore their licence by paying Dh2,400 and attending a rehabilitation course, while those with 8–23 points can deduct eight points for Dh800 and the same course. Black points are penalties for serious traffic violations, with 24 points leading to licence suspension. The initiative complements the UAE Ministry of Interior’s “A Day Without Accidents” campaign, which deducts four points from drivers who pledge safe driving and record no violations on the designated day.
