Ras Al Khaimah has signed an MoU with Skyports Infrastructure to build a network of vertiports for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) flying taxis, with commercial operations expected to begin by 2027. The system will connect key locations including Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, Al Marjan Island, Al Hamra and Jebel Jais, cutting travel times dramatically—such as airport to island in about 15-18 minutes. The initiative aims to support RAK’s tourism goals and integrate with its wider transport network.
