Cricket has introduced its fourth format – Test Twenty, blending Test strategy with T20 intensity in an 80-over, single-day game. Launching globally in 2026 through the Junior Test Twenty Championship for players aged 13–19, it features six franchises (three Indian, three international), with AI-driven and coach-recommended global selection. The format retains core cricket laws but adds rules like a Powerplay, follow-on, early collapse clause, conditional draw, and a Super Session for ties. Top 300 players enter the Global Auction Pool, with franchises drafting 96 players. Endorsed by legends like AB de Villiers and Harbhajan Singh, it aims to create a merit-based, global cricket platform.
