In a public awareness campaign, it advised users to avoid entering personal or financial information through untrusted links, ensure websites begin with “https://”, and not scan random QR codes in public places. The initiative aims to boost digital safety and protect residents from cyber fraud. Authorities stressed that cybercriminals exploit technology to trick users, making awareness the first line of defense. The campaign aligns with ongoing efforts across Dubai to strengthen cybersecurity and promote responsible digital behaviour.
