Dubai Police are increasing their noise radar coverage across the emirate to curb disruptive vehicle sounds and ensure public peace. The radars detect high-noise modifications, loud audio systems, recording devices, and unnecessary horn use. Offenders face fines up to Dh2,000, 12 black points, and impound release fees of up to Dh10,000. Part of Dubai’s smart traffic management and the Steering Committee for Preserving Civilised Appearance, the initiative aims to educate drivers, promote civility, and enhance quality of life. Authorities will also continue patrol monitoring and awareness campaigns to reduce noise-related disturbances.
