India’s blind women’s cricket team captured the first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup for the Blind by defeating Nepal by seven wickets in the final held in Colombo. They restricted Nepal to 114/5 before chasing the target in just 12.1 overs, thanks to a stellar 44-run innings from Phula Saren. The team remained unbeaten throughout the competition, showcasing strong all-around performances in batting, bowling, and fielding. Their skipper Deepika TC led the celebrations by mimicking Harmanpreet Kaur’s iconic trophy-lift moment.
