The long-awaited sequel to the 2009 hit film 3 Idiots is finally moving forward, with the script reportedly locked and the film set to go on floors in the second half of 2026. Director Rajkumar Hirani will reunite with original stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi for 3 Idiots 2, picking up the story nearly 15 years after the original ended. The project, backed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra alongside Hirani and Aamir, promises to bring back the beloved characters with new humour and emotional depth, generating major excitement among fans of the classic Bollywood film.
