Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest mountain destination in Ras Al Khaimah, has been temporarily closed due to safety concerns following heavy rainfall and unstable weather between December 17 and 19. The closure includes road shutdowns and maintenance work as teams inspect the area for standing water, slippery surfaces and potential rock hazards. Popular attractions such as the Jais Flight zipline, Via Ferrata, Bear Grylls Explorers Camp, 1484 by Puro, Red Rock BBQ and activities at Jais Viewing Deck Park have been suspended. Sources say operations are expected to tentatively resume from January 15, subject to final safety clearances.
