Shane Lowry is looking to turn disappointment into motivation at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic after narrowly missing victory at the Dubai Invitational. The Irishman led heading into the final hole but a double-bogey dropped him to tied third, leaving him “hurt” but determined to learn from the setback. Lowry said honest discussions with his team helped him reflect on missed chances beyond just the final hole, including costly three-putts. Now competing in the Rolex Series event alongside Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Viktor Hovland, Lowry believes recent strong form can fuel a title challenge as he seeks his first win since 2024.
