Ajman Police have issued a safety alert warning residents about the fatal dangers linked to improper use of portable power generators. Authorities described carbon monoxide as a “silent killer,” as the gas is colourless and odourless and can build up quickly in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces, causing unconsciousness or death within minutes. Police urged residents to never operate generators indoors, keep them away from buildings, conduct regular maintenance, and shut them down immediately if faults appear. The awareness campaign aims to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning, fires, and other avoidable accidents.
