Babil Khan recently shared an emotional post remembering his late father, Irrfan Khan, while also highlighting the strength of his mother, Sutapa Sikdar. During one of the most difficult phases of their lives, Babil credited Sutapa for holding the family together after Irrfan’s passing in 2020 due to a neuroendocrine tumour.
Sutapa, in earlier interviews, has also acknowledged Babil’s resilience, sharing how he stood firmly by her side during their loss. The bond between the mother and son has often reflected mutual support and emotional strength.
Irrfan Khan, celebrated for iconic films like The Lunchbox, Hindi Medium, and Piku, left behind a legacy of powerful performances. He met Sutapa at the National School of Drama, and the couple married in 1995. Babil, born in 1998, has since stepped into the film industry, carrying forward his father’s artistic spirit.
In his recent post, Babil shared childhood pictures with Irrfan, captioning them, “To begin again, remembering you.” Sutapa reacted warmly, calling the images beautiful. The candid photos captured tender father-son moments, reflecting love, memories, and an enduring emotional connection.
