Aryna Sabalenka will face Elena Rybakina in a highly anticipated semi-final at the Miami Open after both stars secured strong quarter-final wins.

World number one Sabalenka defeated American Hailey Baptiste in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, continuing her dominant season with a remarkable 21-1 record. The Belarusian is now chasing the prestigious “Sunshine Double,” having already beaten Rybakina in the Indian Wells final earlier this month. Sabalenka acknowledged the intensity of their rivalry, calling it a constant battle that pushes both players to their limits.

Meanwhile, Rybakina staged a strong comeback against Jessica Pegula, winning 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. This marks her fifth consecutive victory over Pegula and her third Miami Open semi-final appearance. She admitted the match was challenging but credited her ability to adapt and stay aggressive.

Sabalenka currently leads their head-to-head 9-7, setting the stage for another thrilling clash. In the other semi-final, Coco Gauff will take on Karolína Muchová for a spot in the final.
